Intensive Community Reintegration Program (ICRP)

Dear Youthdale Clients & Community,

Youthdale Treatment Centres is pleased to announce the establishment of a new Intensive Community Reintegration Program (ICRP). The ICRP will provide a critical step to support young people reintegrating into their home communities following prolonged periods of institutionalization from hospital care, secure treatment, and other intensive live-in mental health programs.

Youth often require additional time and support following intensive treatment to safely reintegrate into community, family, educational, and social environments as they can experience increased risks of placement breakdowns, re-hospitalization, and disengagement from community. Youthdale is uniquely positioned to deliver this specialized, evidence-informed treatment within a community setting.

The ICRP will provide structured stabilization and assessment following intensive treatment episodes, support smoother, safer, and more sustainable transitions for youth with complex mental health needs, and integrate mental health and addiction supports through a coordinated, unified model of care. The Intensive Community Reintegration Program is designed to serve a more complex population and will support skill development, caregiver engagement, and community integration while maintaining high levels of clinical oversight and safety.

Key service components include:

  • Individual skill development focused on re-engagement with school, employment, social and recreational activities, and community supports
