Tatum Wilson
Chief Executive Officer
Tatum Wilson is the Chief Executive Officer of Youthdale Treatment Centres. Tatum brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience across Ontario’s health, mental health, and social services systems, with a career spanning government, academic health sciences, and community-based organizations. Prior to joining Youthdale, Tatum served as the CEO of Children’s Mental Health Ontario, (CMHO) where he led the provincial association representing publicly-funded child and youth mental health agencies, and acted as a leading voice on system improvement, access, and equity.
Tatum has held senior leadership roles within the Ontario Public Service and in political offices, including serving as a senior advisor to the Premier and directing major policy and system transformation initiatives. These include leading the development of Ontario’s first Comprehensive Mental Health and Addictions Strategy, Ontario’s Poverty Reduction Strategy, and the Child Welfare Modernization Strategy. Throughout his career, Tatum has worked closely with children, youth, families, community partners, and government leaders to advance policies and services that promote equity, inclusion, and better outcomes for young people.
Tatum holds a Master of Health Science in Health Administration from the University of Toronto and is a passionate promoter of equity and social justice issues. He is a strong leader in community engagement, communications, and advocacy. -

Janet Wilson
Vice President, Clinical Service Excellence
Janet is a dedicated transformational leader with over 30 years of healthcare experience in both Ireland and Canada, holding a master’s degree in nursing. She has held progressive leadership roles in various healthcare settings across Ontario. Her experience has helped her develop a strong clinical background in strategic planning, operational management, and strong business acumen. Notable achievements include leading organizations through accreditation achieving exemplary status, and implementation and operational oversight of withdrawal management services within the GTA. Additionally, she has focused on implementing mental health quality standards across multiple hospitals.
In her personal life, Janet is a mother of four adult children and two beautiful grandchildren, Hayes and Lennon. The other love in her life is Tilly, her four-legged friend!
Janet’s passion for continuous quality improvement drives her visionary leadership and helps her achieve organization strategic goals. She has a strong ability to analyze complex situations, develop innovative solutions, and implement effective strategies to drive positive results. Janet is most proud of ensuring her passion to foster a collaborative work environment, and building high performing teams is at the forefront of her leadership.

Veon Brown
Interim Senior Director of People, Performance & Culture
Veon Brown is a seasoned senior People & Culture executive with over 20 years of experience leading strategic HR, culture transformation, and organizational development across the non-profit, healthcare, manufacturing, and financial sectors. Most recently serving as Vice President, People & Culture at BGC Canada, she advanced the national office's workforce strategy, leadership development, equity initiatives, and modernized people systems that strengthened engagement and organizational effectiveness across the country.
Veon previously served as Senior Director of Human Resources & Administration at Youthdale, where she established and expanded the HR function, strengthened governance and compliance, and successfully guided the organization through its first collective bargaining process. She is widely recognized for her collaborative leadership style, her ability to build high-performing, values-aligned workplaces, and her commitment to safe, equitable, and inclusive environments where staff feel supported and empowered. Her return brings stability, strategic insight, and a strong partnership mindset to help Youthdale continue advancing a healthy, cohesive, and mission-driven workplace culture.

Dr. Mitesh Patel
Chief of Psychiatry
Dr. Mitesh Patel serves as the Physician in Chief/Chief of Psychiatry at Youthdale as well as the Program Director for Canada's newest Psychiatry Residence Program at the Toronto Metropolitan University.
As one of a few dually qualified Child, Adolescent and Forensic Psychiatrists in the country, his unique skillset encompasses developmental neuropsychiatry, mental health of youth raised in at-risk environments, and youth forensic mental health. His expertise in criminal responsibility, fitness, and risk assessments brings an elevated level of specialization to Youthdale.
As an Education Scholar, Dr. Patel has been published widely and holds a Masters of Science in Community Health for Health Practitioner Teacher Education.
Dr. Patel joined Youthdale as Chief of Psychiatry in July 2023.

Jason Langer
Senior Director of Business Transformation & Corporate Services
Jason Langer joined the organization in 2004 and has worn many hats since. His various roles over the years span Intensive Treatment, Secure Treatment, Inpatient Services, and Quality Improvement.
Now, as the Senior Director of Business Transformation & Corporate Services, he leads Youthdale's mission to provide effective treatment for young people facing complex mental health challenges.
Jason's exceptional leadership has led to stellar accreditation records and he has always driven a culture of continuous quality achievement.
Our senior leaders are certified in the Prosci Change Management Certification Program — a people-focused approach to developing an agile, change-ready organization.
