Youthdale Leadership Update
Youthdale Treatment Centres is pleased to announce the appointment of Tatum Wilson as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective January 13, 2026.
Tatum joins Youthdale at a time of significant momentum and opportunity, as we look towards advancing care and collaboration across the sector. His leadership across Ontario’s child- and youth-serving systems, combined with his deep commitment to advancing equitable, evidence-based care, positions him as an ideal champion for Youthdale’s mission. Tatum brings a unique ability to bridge clinical, community, and government partners – strengthening integrated pathways of care for young people with complex mental health and developmental needs.
About Tatum
Tatum joins Youthdale from Children’s Mental Health Ontario (CMHO), where he has served as Chief Executive Officer. In that role, he has been a leading provincial voice for community-based child and youth mental health. Under his leadership, CMHO strengthened its advocacy influence, deepened partnerships with hospitals and children’s services systems, advanced collaborative policy solutions with government, and supported community-based child and youth mental health agencies in building more responsive, accessible services for families.
A seasoned executive with over two decades of experience in Ontario’s health and human services sectors, Tatum has worked across government, community organizations, and the broader public sector. He has led major system initiatives focused on improving child and youth well-being, advancing health equity, and designing integrated service models. Known for his strategic insight, collaborative leadership style, and unwavering focus on improving outcomes for children, youth, and families, Tatum has built a reputation as a trusted partner across children’s healthcare, mental health agencies, schools, hospitals, and funders.
A message from Tatum
“I am genuinely honoured to join Youthdale and to support the extraordinary work of its staff, clinicians, and partners. Youthdale has a long, respected history of caring for young people with some of the most complex needs in the province, and I step into this role with both genuine excitement and a deep sense of humility. I look forward to working closely with Youthdale’s staff and community partners, partner hospitals, government, and generous supporters to build on its strengths and to collectively create the best possible system of care for children, youth, and families. It is a privilege to serve in this sector, and I am grateful for the opportunity to lead Youthdale into its next chapter.”
